Great Grandma,
A year ago today you joined those that you have missed leaving us behind to miss you. I am sorry I did not attend your services; it was just too difficult for me. You are in my prayers and will forever be a part of what made me who I am today. To this day I cannot make an ice cream sunday as good as you. I miss the days of swimming in your pool on hot summer days and picking veggies from your garden when we got hungry, purple plums with little drops of sugar oozing out of them and purple pea pods that hurt my fingers as we spent hours popping the dry peas out of them, frozen chocolate mint Frangos and Andy's Mints, home made frut leather and various dried fruits from your orchards and fresh squeezed apple cider on cold winter days made from your antique cider press out back in the shed. And of course watching Wizard of Ozz on the Beta Max.....all of these are my favorite memories of you Great Grandma and every single one of them I share with any one I can because these are the root of all happiness to me. God Bless you, I love you.

I am so proud to be Alices grandaughter. I will miss the times we shared in the kitchen baking, out working in the gardens, sharing a glass of wine, but mostly just to sit and talk with her. She has left me with a lifetime of wonderful memories that stems from the passion she had for family, friends, food, gardening and the sharing of her time. I am so blessed and thankful for having a such a wonderful family and to know that within each of our hearts lives a part of her and her love.

I am saddened by the loss of my Grandma Spookie. She was always such a kind, loving person who loved her family. I remember many summer days where we'd be together in the vegetable garden. She loved gardening and never seemed to mind that I ate more than I picked! She will be sorely missed.

So sorry to hear about your mom! We think you have had enough lately and hope you can find some peace through all of this in knowing God is STILL watching over you!

What a full life Aunt Alice had.... Uncle Claude was one of my favorite Uncles on the Johnson side of the family. When he married Alice, it was good to see the companionship they had. I know she will be missed. Just remember that the memories of her lifetime will see you all thru this time of grief...... One of the Johnson granddaughters, diane purdy arnold
