I met Alice after her husband died. She was looking for a square dance partner for a special dance and another dancer asked if it would be okay to give her my number. We arranged to meet in Meadville and had dinner together. After that we attended the dance at the Wattsburg Area Middle School. Alice was always traveling somewhere and gave me many invitations to go with her. She had planned on going to The Splendor of Fall Dance at Mohican State Park in Loudonville, OH Oct. 30-31, 2009. I last danced with Alice on Oct. 2 at Cloverleaf Squares and talked to her Oct. 3 at the Greenville Star Promanaders. She was a good friend and will be missed. Hurray for Alice for going to all the places she did and doing the things that she wanted to do. My deepest sympathy to her family.

I knew Alice from square dancing. I have danced with her oftentimes. She was a wonderful person and will be missed by all square dancers who knew her and all her friends. My condolences to the family. Sincerely, Jennie Cheraso from Broken Wheel Squares.
