Alice WARD Obituary
WARD Alice Peacefully, at home, on May 27, 2010 after illness. Much loved mum, mum-in-law, nan and great-nan. God saw that she was getting tired A cure was not to be So He put His arms around her And whispered come with me With tearful eyes we watched her suffer And saw her fade away Although we loved her dearly We could not make her stay A golden heart stopped beating Hard working hands to rest God broke our hearts to prove to us He only takes the best. Love - Sue, Diane, Debra, Melanie, Alison and families. Special thanks for the wonderful support given by staff at IHNS, Care4you Home Support, District Nurses, staff at Weston Park Hospital and St Luke's Hospice. Service and interment at Abbey Lane Cemetery on Friday 4 June, at 10.30am. Family flowers only please. Donations, if desired, to Weston Park Hospital, or by collection on the day.

The 'bargain' chase seems so long ago, like an almost forgotten dream.
I look for you on Woodseats, in Iceland and Tesco, too
I thought I saw you on The Moor, but I know it can't be true.
No more chats about old times, comparing family history notes old and new
No one else shares our interest yet, mum, but I'll see what I can do.
In the meantime I'll keep those memories, to pass down the family line
Along with tales of happy childhood days, thanks to the most wonderful parents of mine.

Mum - 2 years without you
AS I LOOK BACK...
As I look back on my life I find myself wondering...Did I remember to thank you for all that you have done for me?
For all of the times you were by my side to help me celebrate my successes and accept my defeats?
Or for teaching me the value of hard work, good judgement, courage, and honesty?
I wonder if I've ever thanked you for the simple things...The laughter, smiles, and quiet times we've shared?
If I have forgotten to express my gratitude for any of these things, I am thanking you now...and I am hoping that you've known all along, how very much you are loved and appreciated.
