WEIMER Alice Lucille Jones Weimer, "Granny", age 92, of Grove City, Oh. went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 16, 2009 at Mt. Carmel West Hospital due to complications from a stroke. Granny was born on July 22, 1916 in Sherman, W. Va. to Laura Orem and Everett Smith and lived there until the mid 1960's. She was married to Francis Jones for 37 years. Alice was a resident of Melanie Manor in Grove City for over 25 years. She was an avid baseball fan and followed the LA Dodgers like none other. Alice was a loyal member of the First Baptist Church of Grove City, where she also has many friends. She was also a member of the Church of Christ in Grove City for over 20 years, and a member of Ravenswood Church of Christ for many years. She is survived by 3 daughters, Charlotte Thomas of Grove City, Lois Sutphin (Ron) of Ravenswood, W. Va. and Jackie Jahn (Jim) of Orient. A true matriarch, Alice also has 8 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by brother, Charles Smith of Cincinnati, Oh.; many nieces, nephews and cousins, and many loyal and much-loved friends. She was preceded by daughters Alice Fay and Connie. Also by sisters Mildred, Nina, and brothers Carl, Junior, Harold and an infant. Visiting hours will be held Monday, May 18, 2009 from 5-7 p.m. at THE SPENCE-MILLER FUNERAL HOME, 2697 Columbus St., Grove City, Oh. Funeral service will be Tuesday 10 a.m. at The First Baptist Church of Grove City, 3301 Orders Rd. Dr. Jerry L. Neal and Rev. David Berna officiating. Reception will immediately follow the funeral at the church. There will also be a viewing on Wednesday from 1-2 p.m. at The Roush Funeral Home, 205 Ritchie Ave, Ravenswood, W. Va.. Interment will follow at Ravenswood Cemetery. Memorial donations can me made in lieu of flowers to Mt. Carmel West 3T Palliative Care Unit, 793 W. State St., Columbus, Oh. 43222. Carrie and Family...
