On Sunday, October 8, 2017. Beloved daughter of Yan and Elly Sheykhet; sister of Artem Sheykhet. Gone too young and too soon. You will be in our hearts forever. Rest in peace, our little Angel. Visitation Tuesday, October 10, 2017, from 6-8 p.m. at RALPH SCHUGAR CHAPEL, INC., 5509 Centre Avenue, Shadyside. Funeral Service Wednesday, October 11, 2017, at 12 Noon in the Funeral Home. Interment Homewood Cemetery.

Dear Sheykhet Family:
I did not know your beautiful and kind daughter, but my heart has been so heavy for your family when I read in the newspaper, what happened to her. I cannot offer any words to take away your unbearable pain, but I do offer my prayers and ask God to give your family strength. Even though Alina is not here on Earth with your family, she will always remain in your hearts and the kindness and love she left behind to all those who knew her, will leave an indelible mark forever.

To Alina's family, please accept my sympathy at losing your daughter & sister. My son in law went to Montour High School with her and she was same age as he and my daughter. May god bless you all and she is now in heaven with all the other angels.

I know no words can bring comfort to Alina's family and friends right now. But even though I've never known any of you, I am praying for all of you. As a mother, my heart aches for you all. Let her name not be one for sorrow, but full of light and love. Everything happens for a reason in this world whether it's bad or good. God has a plan for us all. You may not understand now what the purpose god had when he took Alina. That answer will come in due time. All you can do is take one day at a time. God bless you all.

Our hearts are broken. We have had the privilege of knowing Alina through Montour's musicals. Our son Eric put it best (he graduated with her and was in several musicals with her.)he said, "She made us better. She would say, 'Come on...you can do this!' And we did. If I was a gawky sophomore she made me a celebrity."
