Alison Dietterick Obituary
Alison graduated from Millersville University with a BS in Psychology and later earned her Registered Nursing degree. She earned a Masters degree in Psychology from Loyola University in Maryland and later earned her LPC license. She worked for Holy Spirit Hospital for many years and spent her entire adult life caring for others. Her final duty was as a caretaker for her loving father Thomas Robert Gabel who preceded her in death.
Alison was the daughter of Clara Eleanor Gabel and Thomas Robert Gabel and the wife of Blake Dietterick. She is survived by her son Conor Dietterick, stepdaughter Nikki Ferullo (husband Todd), and stepson Ian Dietterick (fiance Amber). She is also survived by her two brothers Thomas Gibson Gabel of Decatur, AL, and Robert Gibson Gabel (wife Debra) of West Chester, PA., nieces Jaclyn Gabel, Mary Clare Gabel, and Olivia Gabel and nephew Tyler Gabel (wife Elizabeth).
Alison will be lovingly remembered for her dedication to the healthcare profession as well as her passion for reading novels, Akita dogs, and spending time with her family and close friends. Alison will be sorely missed by her family and friends.

Ali, it's so hard to accept the fact that you are gone. You were one of the most selfless people I've ever known, and an amazing friend. I can't even say how much you will be missed. I'll never forget working with you on the behavioral health unit, swimming in your pool, driving to South Carolina, giant dogs, late night movies and TV, pizza, the Outer Banks, a Discovery of Witches, unicorns, gifs, and music discussions.
My heartfelt condolences to Conor, Nikki, Ian, Tommy, Robert, Deb, and all the many family and friends who loved Ali.

I was shocked and saddened to hear of Alison's death. I remember the sound of her laughter. I am so sad for Connor, Robert, and Thomas especially, so soon after the death of Uncle Tom.
