ALISON STRONG

Happy birthday, Munchkin! How I wish I could pick up the telephone to wish you a happy birthday but this will have to suffice. I trust you are safe and well. That is all I ever wanted for you so perhaps my birthday wish to you really has come true! I love you, sis.

I knew Alison from when we were both students at the R. L. Stevenson High School, in NYC 1973-1974. I remember her as unpretentious, straightforward and remarkably bright with a quick, dry wit. She had a part in a short film I made for a senior project. If I get it digitized I'll put it up on this page.
We didn't stay in touch. But every now and then over the last 20-odd years I'd do a Google search, later Facebook. I never had any luck. Yes, I spelled it right. Today I searched and this page came up first. Her photo is unmistakable. Hell of a way to find someone after 44 years.
My sympathy and best wishes to her family.

I was a patient at Saint Barnabas Hospital; I was Alisons roommate. We became very close; she was a beautiful lady that inspired daily. Her words, her good spirit, and her strong fighting personality gave me the will power to go on. Before leaving the hospital, she was over joyed that her son Tyler was there for her. He was her world, and her beautiful son, the care taker.
Also, she was very. Happy to go home to her pet. After being discharged from yet another hospital I called Alison several times.
Today I went to visit her, only to hear about her death. I am deeply saddened.
May she Rest In Peace; Tyler remain strong!

I am deeply saddened. I remember Alison at Bard College in the '70s. A wonderful young woman with a great spirit. My condolences to her family.

My deep condolences. Alison will always be part of my childhood memories, we would play together after school doing the billion dollar movie with our toys while channel 9 would show the million dollar movie.
