Norwich:  Alison Lee Wagner, 62, ascended on her heavenly journey January 16, 2023. She is survived by her devoted and loving husband of 25 years, Mark E. Wagner. Predeceased by her loving parents Jesus E., Elsie L. and Lueva G. Rabago. She is survived by her brothers Kevin Rabago and Marty Griffin of VA, Stan Griffin of MD, sister Carmen Rabago of VA and numerous nieces and nephews. She has gone on to be reunited with her brothers, Michael, Colin and Charlie Rabago and sisters, Mary and Myra Rabago and Patricia Baber.

She was a proud Virginia native. After graduating from Culpeper County High School she enjoyed many different positions over the years. Her interests led her from working for the federal government, to having fun at the Safeway deli counter or driving around and getting lost as a "his Girl Friday" for a building contractor, to a tax office receptionist.

Always one for a good laugh, she had a wicked sense of humor and loved sharing her life with her family and friends. She enjoyed traveling with her husband, and having new adventures. She never allowed her disabilities to color her lens of the world or recognize the goodness in people. Smart, kind, and curious she was generous to a fault and shared her gift of uplifting others. A strong woman of faith, her insightful and compassionate nature was a guiding light to all who met her.  Her mantra was, "Strive to be happy!"

Her family welcomes friends and relatives Saturday, January 21, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM to the Griswold Funeral Home at 30 North Main St., Jewett City, CT (formerly Leffler Funeral Home).

My aunt Allison was the most understanding, kind, loving, and gentle soul I have ever known. Although you are not here in present, your light and presence are still shining on me and will be forever. You are not forgotten! Distance and time got in the way of fellowship when you were on this earth; the lord called upon you and now you are so close to my heart in spirit. May your eternity be forever in paradise! We love you Allison!

Alison was such a wonderful, positive person - no matter what obstacle came her way. We came to know her through our friend, her sister Carmen. We really enjoyed and looked forward to our conversations and time with Alison - she will be not forgotten - She lives in our hearts and the hearts of so many. Rest In Peace sweet lady..

I always told her she was as sweet as a Virginia Peach. I loved her no nonsense attitude, how much she loved, her positivity, and of course, so funny!!!

You will be missed sweet Alison. I always had so much fun being around her. Her beautiful heart will not be forgotten. She always tolerated me and Carmen’s silliness as teenagers hanging out together. My deepest sympathies to all of her family.

Nothing so loving and beautiful ever leave the hearts of those left behind. I pray her soul rest in total peace. I pray her loved ones be comforted and know that her treasure of beautiful memories were left for them. Many blessings for the family. May God bless you all.
