Alladi Ramakrishnan Obituary
Alladi Ramakrishnan, founder-director of MATSCIENCE, The Institute of Mathematical Sciences in Chennai, India, died Saturday, June 7 at his son's home in Gainesville with his loved ones by his side. Professor Ramakrishnan, 84, was an eminent theoretical physicist who contributed to several fields of study. In an illustrious scientific career that began in 1947, Professor Ramakrishnan published over 150 influential research papers in leading journals on topics ranging over Stochastic Processes, Elementary Particle Physics, Matrix Algebra, and the Special Theory of Relativity.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years Lalitha Ramakrishnan, son Krishnaswami Alladi (Chair, UF Math Dept.), daughter-in-law Mathura Alladi, granddaughters Lalitha Aditya Alladi and Amritha Alladi, and grand son-in-law Aditya Srinivasan.
Funeral services will be held at Forest Meadows Funeral Home at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, June 10.
Place of Residence: Chennai, India. Died at his son's Residence in Gainesville, Fl.

The service for your father today was very inspirational. Your father truly has left this world with the fondest of memories to those who knew him.
In my religion our bible says: Precious in the sight of the LORD [is] the death of his saints. Your father is one of his saints.
