I was very saddened to hear about Allan's passing. We roomed together for a year at University and this gave me a chance to get to know him better. Allan was a very kind and friendly and thoughtful person and he always went out of his way to help people. May God bless him and may his spirit carry on in the hearts of the people who knew him. Your work here on earth is done Allan. May your soul rest in eternal peace and happiness.

I will always feel very indebted to Allan. Not only was he the one who hired me to work at Sherritt, but he also supported me in so many ways. Allan had a gentle, kind and loving spirit, and I miss that dearly. Sparked by his great sense of humour and his ready smile, we had so many laughs together. We had great fun too at his home with his family, Georgia, Courtney and Cole. My deepest sympathy to his family. Allan and I will be the best of friends forever.

As we grow older, boyhood experiences blur to near brother-like memories. Being an only child, spending time on the farm and hunting with Allan and Dean are among my most treasured of times (however mischievous they may have been). I will miss Allan's quiet inner strength and resolve. You will be missed, my friend.

Allan was my best friend. I thought of him as the brother that I never had. There isn't a day that goes by that I don't think about him. I miss him very much and I hope and pray that he is there to meet me when it is my time.

I knew Allan (and Dean and Tim) in High School. The obituary was very well written... such a nice guy. I remember hearing when the corvette was dropped off the truck... this guy is going all the way to Philadelphia to work and then they do that!! sincere condolences to the family.. Allan and I graduated from Mineral engineering together. Before we both started working at Bechtel, we took a road trip down the west coast from Vancouver to LA. It was a great trip and will never be forgotten. We both worked at the Artic Circle on the Lupin Gold Mine and we both went off to Pennsylvania to work on a nuclear power plant. Though our careers took separate paths after that, they always seem to cross, Allan you will be missed.

Allan joined us at Sherritt in 1988. That began a lifelong association where we worked together on many projects, for many companies. As a respected professional engineer, Allan's contributions were vital, but his friendship was even more valuable. His support during my challenges will never be forgotten. I miss him.
