Mr. Landau was my science teacher at FortPitt Elementary school. He also was head of the safety patrol. Mr Landau was one of my favorite teachers. I never forgot about him and always wondered how he was doing. He was a very great teacher, and person. He always reminded me of my potential and my capabilities. I will never forget you. May you continue to rest! Thank you for everything

I had the pleasure of caring for Allan as a traveling nurse out in Arizona. Being a native Pittsburgher, I knew from the second I heard his voice, he was one of "my people". Being so far away from home, it was a comfort to have Allan to talk to about all things Pittsburgh. He was a lovely man and a pleasure to care for. I am so glad I had the opportunity to meet him. Keeping you all in my thoughts and prayers.

I was saddened to hear of Mr. Landau's passing. I was a student of his at Fort Pitt back in 85-87. I was in his Honor Society in both 4th and 5th grades. I remember eating lunch in his classroom for our Honor Society meetings and he always went to KFC in East Liberty or Vento's Pizza and treated us to lunch. He was truly a wonderful teacher and mentor to every child that walked in his classroom. My sincerest condolences to his famiy.

To the Landau Family,

You have my deepest sympathies. Mr. Landau was my father's gym teacher and my 5th grade science teacher. I have great memories of elementary school because of him. I was in the Honor Society in which him and Mrs. Christopher were chairperson's. I grew to like science because of Mr. Landau. He was a fair and definitely exemplary teacher. He made learning fun for all children. He will always be remembered.

Danielle and family,
My deepest condolences and thoughts are with you. Though I didn't know your dad or ever get to meet him, I can tell just what kind of person he was by the way Danielle lit up when she talked about him and would share stories with us about what a great father and teacher he was. I know he will be greatly missed by many. Always remember the happy times you were lucky to share with such an incredible person.

I am totally shocked to hear of Mr. Landau's illness and passing. I remember him well for he was not only my phys ed teacher at Fort Pitt, but a very influential memory of my early school days. Not very many teachers fit into that "special" category with him. He was kind, gentle, generous...an advocate for all kids from all walks of life. I extend my sincere sympathy and prayers to Mrs. Landau and family for your loss. Please know you're not alone. There are many, many Fort Pitt alumni who loved him too and share your loss. Always cherish his smile...his memory...I know I have all these years. God Bless you all.
