Dear Fiona and Family
I am so sorry for your loss.
Allan and my brother, Phil Brownstein were best friends for many many years. That is how I met Allan.
He was a kind and gentle man devoted to his family and work.
My husband, Irwin Kopin, who also got his Medical degree from McGill, was a scientist at NIH in Bethesda. He enjoyed speaking to Allan about common issues in their scientific work
We are all saddened by the loss of our dear friend.
May your memories be a comfort to you and may the name of Allan Sherwin be for a blessing.

Dear Fiona - so sorry to hear of Allan's passing, but I am very grateful for the privilege of having studied with him at MCLL for the last few years and benefited from his humanity, wit and wisdom. My sincere sympathies.
