Salina, Utah - Our beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend, Glen Allen Crane, age 92, died May 22, 2012 at his home in Salina, surrounded by his family.
He was born November 2, 1919 in Salina, a son of Glenn Allred and Lera Curtis Crane. He graduated from North Sevier High School, Class of 1938.
He served his country during World War II in the United States Army.
Allen married Neva H. Watters, July 2, 1938 in Salina, Utah. Their marriage was solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple May 25, 1942. She died May 29, 2007. He married Josephine Chidester Williams, March 19, 2008 in Richfield, Utah.
Allen was an active member of the LDS Church. He served as an Ordinance Worker in the Manti Temple, as High Priest Group Leader and a faithful Home Teacher.
He was a farmer and served as President of Brown's Hole Cattle Association and President of the Salina Creek Water Association.
He is survived by his wife, Josephine of Salina; children: Terron G. and Linda Crane, Randy Allen and Luana Crane, all of Salina; Connie and Delmer K. Wilson of Las Vegas, Nevada; 14 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren; brothers: Don Curtis Crane of Sunset; Wayland Craig and Pat H. Crane of Richfield.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Sharrie N. Crane; two grandchildren: Barry Evan Crane and Nancy Wilson; two brothers and three sisters: Chad James Crane, Maynard R. Crane, Dortha Crane, Betty Mickelsen and Lois Jean Fejius.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 29, 2012 at 12 Noon in the Salina LDS Stake Center, 98 west 400 North in Salina, where friends may call for viewing Tuesday morning from 10:30 to 11:30 prior to the services.
Burial with military honors accorded by the Salina American Legion Post #36 and the Utah Honor Guard will be in the Pioneer Cemetery under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah. On line guest book at: www.springerturner.com
