Allen French

Cordova - Allen French peacefully departed his earthly life and entered eternal rest on May 15th, 2025, in Corinth Mississippi. Allen was born on May 9th, 1955, in Memphis TN to Speed and Marion French. Allen was a beloved husband and father known for his outgoing and animated personality. After graduating White Station High School where he played football for the Spartans, and attending Memphis State University, Allen joined the IBEW Local 474 and completed the electrical apprenticeship program. Allen worked as an electrician and was most proud of his work with the St. Jude remodel. When not working, he enjoyed theater productions and was active in the local theater community. Allen was in several plays and assisted with lighting design for local theaters. Allen was a devoted father and was often found on the side of a football or soccer field cheering on his sons, or at a Memphis Tigers game where he was cheering among the loudest fans. Allen had a love for motorcycles, good music, and hanging out with friends. Allen was active in his church Hope Presbyterian in Cordova and delivered meals on wheels for MIFA. Allen loved being Pappy to Stella, TJ, and Harper.

Allen is survived by his loving wife Lisa French of 37 years, two sons, Tyler (Jenna) and Nathan (Emily), and three grandchildren-Stella, TJ, and Harper. Allen is also survived by his brother, Harold French (Laurie), sister, Peggy Berry, and a substantial amount of extended family and friends.

The family would like to extend their sincerest gratitude to the entire staff of Stone Ridge of Farmington and Enhabit Hospice team for taking care of Allen during his Parkinson's battle.

A memorial service will be held on June 7th, 2025, at at 11:30am at Hope Presbyterian Church. Visitation will take place 30 minutes prior to the service at the church.
