It´s hard to believe that today marks a year since he passed. In some ways, it still doesn´t feel real. Our memories will always keep him alive in our hearts.

It was always a pleasure spending time with Al. He was so kind and thoughtful, with vast amounts of patience and empathy that definitely had a positive affect on me. Our visits to Brent's will always hold a special place in my heart :)

I'll miss you.

He was a very thoughtful and kind person. He had a sweet nature about him. And would always ask how are boys are doing. And how I was doing. He will definitely be missed.

What I will always remember about Al is his enthusiastic spirit. He lived life with a boundless energy that was truly contagious, always making the most of every moment. His love for adventure took us on so many unforgettable journeys.

His upbeat spirit lifted all those he made contact with, no matter the circumstances.

He valued time with friends and family above all.

Al, your passion for life and your zest for adventure will continue to inspire us. I am grateful for the incredible memories.

You will be missed.

I met Al in his early engineering days at Centre City known today as Metro Construction at SDG&E. I was a welder on the gas side in the 70´s, but Al never discriminated between gas and electric. He was outdoorsy like me and we kept in touch sharing our travels for the next 40 years. We worked together at Centre City, block 150 (Petco Park today) Orange County, North Coast and Northeast Construction at SDG&E. After we both retired in 2015 and 2016, we met each month at Beach Break Cafe for breakfast. We continued to share our family stories and travels until his passing. Such a kind soul an compassion for the outdoors, music and wine. I miss our friendship and loved our time spent.
God bless you Al!
