Allen E. Germershausen

A memorial service for Allen E. Germershausen will be 4:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 28, 2012 at St. James Lutheran Church. Visitation will follow the service at the church. Allen passed away November 22, 2012. Born in Columbia, SC, he was the son of Robert and Jamie Germershausen of West Columbia, SC and Elizabeth Germershausen of Clewiston, FL. Allen was a 2007 honor graduate of White Knoll High School, 2011 Cum laude graduate of Newberry College, member of the TKE Fraternity and was attending the Lutheran Theological Southern Seminary. He was the first Eagle Scout of Troop 332 in Red Bank, SC and continued in Scouting as a member of the shooting sports training committee and as chaplain at summer camp at Camp Barstow. He is survived by his parents of West Columbia and Clewiston, three brothers, Robert M T (Ashley) Germershausen of Leesville, R J Germershausen of West Columbia, and CSSN Johnathan Wingard, USN, USS Ronald Reagan and his special little sister Whitney Wingard, West Columbia. He is also survived by his aunt/other mother, Carin Germershausen Seward, his maternal grandfather, Roy E. Lesher, step grandparents, Gary and Joni Stankaitis and special grandparents, Ronnie and Louise Lever. Memorials may be made to St. James Lutheran Church/Boy Scout Troop 332.
