Allen Gitlin

Allen was a mentor, a futurist, a business partner, and most importantly, my friend. We toiled together, celebrated together, and enjoyed each other in many respects. I think of him often, and miss him always. Rest easy.

Allen was always special to me, after meeting him and discovering we shared the same last name, it was an instant connection. We never could pinpoint if we were actually related but Allen always reminded me of my Father in many ways. A lot of similarities. Allen treated me like family and always referred to me as kid. We spent many holidays with Allen, Julie and his family. I will always remember him and he will have a special place in my heart.

Julie, what a wonderful and full life you have shared for 48 years! You both were truly blessed. Take comfort in the many memories you had together!

I sadly missed the opportunity to know ol´ blue eyes very well. My loss for sure. The moments I did spend with him surprised me with much delight. Funny as heck. With a dry sense of humor. I know Julie loved him for all of the years they spent together.

What a class act you were Mr. G. We were only 33 years apart in age but always felt like we had known each other forever. We agreed on just about everything, and if we ever didn´t agree, we just agreed to disagree. Deb and I truly loved being around you and really liked your stories. You are physically gone now but your spirit will always be with me. Love you buddy. Pat

We will always cherish our memories of Allen; his wit, passion for life and strength of character meant so much. May the thought of him continue to provide his family and friends with the solace they seek.

Allen and Julie have been my beloved friends for decades in St. Andrews C.C. I will miss Allen now that he is gone, but hope to remain close to Julie who is like my second sister

We only knew him for a short time, but his intelligence, humor and humility have made a lasting impact.
