Allen Hugo Koranda

I´m so sorry for your loss, Kerry, Kara, and Krista. Your dad will always live in my childhood memories of summers at the lake. He was a vivacious and generous man who always had a smile and kind word. I still remember his laughter as he would try his hardest to bounce us off the big banana float while we begged to go around the lake again and again on the back of his boat. Such a great loss! Allen Koranda was one of the kindest, most generous and caring man I got to know and work for over many happy years. I admired Al for his exceptional intellect, his impeccable character, his integrity and his outstanding leadership inherent in his being. It was my privilege to know him and enjoy the long-lasting relationship with his parents and the wonderful Koranda family. He was a loyal friend and will be sorely missed. God bless his soul!

My thoughts and prayers are with Jennifer, Jan, Ken and the entire Koranda family.

Vlasta and family

One of my favorite lifetime memories was playing Little League Baseball with Allen for the King-Keyser Cardinals. Hugo was our manager and coached our team to the Hinsdale Little League Championship which we won. Allen was our All-Star catcher.

What a lovely man. Always greeted us in Clarendon Hills with a Good Morning and a smile. My condolences to the Koranda family.

Al and the entire Koranda family (parents included!) have been dear friends of mine for many years. Al certainly has embodied the exemplary character and spirit of giving back that all the Korandas espouse. He will be missed, and his legacy will endure. I do not know of another person who was a better friend than Al. He was one of a kind.

Al was a lifelong friend of my brother Chris in spite of my brother's many issues. Chris was lucky to have such a wonderful friend. Heartfelt condolences to the Koranda family.
