Oh, Boots, this is such sad news. I worked with Al at the 7th Street Super Valu and then again down on 26th(?) He was so much fun, and so very capable as the ass't mgr. He, Polly, & I laughed a lot, and that makes that time of my life one of my favorites!
You, Boots, are in my prayers as I ask God to comfort you.
Love,
Willie (Mott) Crawford

So sorry to read of Al's passing. I worked with him at the old 7th street and Broadway Super Valu in Council Bluffs, Iowa back in 1954-5 when he worked in the meat department. My wife, Kaye went to high school with him.
Our condolences to his family at this sad time.
