SHAPIRO
Allen, 67, of Montvale, NJ, passed away on November 30th, 2016. Beloved husband of Jody Greenberg Shapiro; loving brother of Barbara Shapiro of Ithaca, NY and Philip (Brenda) Shapiro of Saddle Brook, NJ; and devoted uncle to Sara Shapiro and Debbie Shapiro Gurzynski. Al was predeceased by his brother, Sidney "Butch" Shapiro. Al's loyalty, generosity, strong work ethic, compassion, and empathy and love for animals were always evident. His career spanned more than 35 years in the dental industry, a majority of those as a sales representative for Patterson Dental and Henry Schein Inc. which was preceded by four years in the Navy, on both the USS Wasp and USS Roosevelt. For those who would like to pay their respects, please contact friends of the family. Donations in Al's memory may be made to the North Shore Animal League or the NJ Sharing Network. I'm so sorry to hear about Al's passing. I enjoyed talking to him on the phone at work. He always talked about his animals, going to the casino and how he was going to win the lottery. He will definitely be missed. " Gone to soon."
