My Tribute to Gramma Bea...Most of you who came today came to honor a woman you knew to be a singer, a worshiper, a doer of God’s Word. A teacher, at times a preacher, to some of you a counselor, maybe even a hand raising, tongue-talking, holy roller...but to all of us a PRAYER WARRIOR. She was our “go-to person” for any and all prayer requests. She knew how to pray and had a Job-like faith. Anyone who knew her, knew her as a Godly woman.
And then there are those of us who knew another side of her. We knew her also as a Godly woman, a woman who, if the church doors were open, would be there. A Godly woman with pockets full of mints!! Mints for everyone---related by blood or not she had mints! We never knew why. Why peppermints? What started the peppermint tradition? We were young, we didn’t care, we just knew where to get them and she loved the hugs we traded for them!!
She was a woman who cared for us when we were sick, usually by feeding us. Feeding us more than any kid could or should eat. A woman who, when we’d spend the night, would sit in the living room eating Neopolitan ice cream and reading Garfield Comics with us until we were too tired to keep reading. A woman who loved her soaps, her Spam & Miracle Whip sandwiches, playing dominoes or cards or just coloring with “her kids”! It was us who were lucky enough, no blessed enough to call her Grandma B!

The road to here was long
There were shade trees along the way
I walked singing glory's song
Thinking of the wonder of today
Feeling sorrow for me's not wrong
But don't let the sorrow stay
The road to here was long
But I walk with God today

Dear Margaret & Alta and family members. Your Mama "fought a good fight and finished her race and is now basking in the presence of Jesus to receive her reward" How blessed you were to have such a strong woman who taught you all about heaven. She's alive and well and waiting for each of her family members. What a celebration that will be - Love you! Judy

Dear Margaret, Alta & Dennis,
I am addressing just the Children.
It was time for your Mother to go to her Glory so she will rest in Peace. We had a lot of Good Times over the years when George & Walter were alive as we visited back & forth between Bakersfield & Sacramento. I will miss her & all the good times we all had, including all the in-laws.
Love You All,
Aunt Sandy

Dear Kirk family, we so loved Sis. Eddy. She has been an inspiration to so many in her prayer life and words of encouragement. Our hearts are saddened by her departure, but our spirits rejoice with her that she has finished her course and kept the faith and now has entered into the joy of the Lord. We love you, Gina and Chip Jones
