Allie Christina Zacchero

Early on the morning of October 22, 2022, Allie Christina Zacchero passed away in San Diego, CA due to medical complications. Allie was born in Pittsburgh, PA on February 18, 1996 to Christy (Kulousek) and Mark Zacchero. As a child, she was a curly-headed, clumsy, ball of energy - with a smile that lit up a room and an immeasurable power of love. As a young girl, this gentle, loving nature developed further. She cared deeply for all living beings, especially animals, and had a profound connection with nature. She found a passion for softball and played on Pittsburgh Spirit, a premier fast pitch traveling softball team. She was a loyal friend to many, sharing her silliness, pure positivity, and passion for exploration. She graduated from Baldwin High School in 2014, and dreamed of becoming a Marine Biologist in Hawaii, surrounded by her greatest love, the water. Along the way, Allie was overcome by the power of addiction, yet she continuously fought to conquer it and regain power over her life. Despite her struggles, she listened without judgment, uplifted all those around her, and left a piece of eternal sunshine with all those that she encountered. Those who knew her can speak to her beauty, selflessness, strength, compassion, and endless curiosity. She was a talented writer, and took joy in art, poetry, and music. She had an exceptionally creative mind, and a brilliantly colorful essence. Allie leaves behind her parents, sister Samantha, nephew Kailo, grandma Robin, step-mother SueAnn, step-sister Heather, aunts, uncles, cousins, and many dear friends. Allie's wishes were to not be remembered as another statistic; another drug addict that lost her battle with addiction. Instead, we invite all those who cared for her to celebrate her life and hold her vibrant energy close to your heart. She will be cremated, and a private service will be held by her family. A public memorial will be created in her honor, where friends and family can visit and commemorate her life. Details will be provided at a later date.
