A wonderful gathering to wish our loving daughter and beautiful mom a happy birthday!

Happy 50th birthday sweetheart, we miss you and love you, and wish you were here to celebrate with us. Well I guess the big news this year is that you are a grandmother. Waylon and Emily had Milo Ryder Lee Moody on October 29th. I got to see him at Christmas time, and he is so strong and handsome. Waylon and Emily post pictures of Milo on the Facebook, and it looks like they are doing well as a family. I know you would be proud of them. I don't get to see Waylon or Darian much, they have their own lives to live, so I cannot give you much of an update on them. I know that Darian is back living with Mama now since she broke up with her boyfriend. I think Darian is still working at St. Vincents, so that is a good thing. John Farmer is still struggling to find a job. Unfortunately, he is looking for a job that is way above his qualifications, and hopefully he'll find something soon. John Farmer comes over for dinner once a month, so that is a good time for us to catch up. Mama is still enjoying her retirement, although John Farmer says she is getting restless. Maybe she'll do some part-time work to ease that. Jodi and I are doing well. Jodi is still knitting a lot, and playing MahJong on Mondays with her friends. I'm still fishing a lot, and just outfitted a new 12 foot jon boat, so I'm enjoying getting back on the water. Unfortunately, I'm getting too old for a lot of the things I enjoy doing, so I'm sort of giving in to the aging process. Oh, and we added a new family member. We got Ozzie, a 7-month old miniature poodle back in July. He is so cute, but definitely a handful. Buddy and he get along well, so all is good there. Well sweetheart, another year has passed without your smile and laughter. I often think of the times Waylon and I would come up to Harps to see you, and your beauty and grace always filled my heart with love for you. Happy birthday Allison, be sweet!

Happy 49th birthday sweetheart; we miss you and love you, and wish you were here with us to celebrate. Well, this has been an eventful year. To begin, I guess you know that Waylon and Emily are going to have a son in October, so you are going to be a grandmother. Can you believe it? Waylon is working for Duval Landscape on the irrigation team, and seems to like it. I got to see him a few weeks ago for lunch at Metro Diner, and we had a good talk. He still has not gotten his drivers license, so Preston is taking him back and forth to work. Waylon says he and his dad are getting along okay, so I guess that is a good thing. I met Emily and she seems sweet. She and Waylon obviously have a huge responsibility that they are facing as young adults, so let´s hope that they are up to it. I do not get to see Darian much, but I think she is doing well. Last I heard she was still at Ascension. I think she wants to go back to school, but I have not heard anything more. Mama retired a couple months ago. I do not get to see her much, but John Farmer says she is doing okay. He is still working at Ejcon, but is getting restless to move on to a more established company where he can grow his knowledge and expertise. He comes over for dinner once a month, and it is so nice to see and talk with him then. Your grandmother Mimi Gwen died in March of this year. She was 97 and having issues with dementia. She died peacefully in the care of Westminster St. Augustine where she lived, and in the care of Vitas Hospice, who kept her comfortable in her last few days. Jason continues to send you loving thoughts, and is raising his girls as a good father, and is caring for his Mom as a good son. Jodi and I are doing good also. Jodi knits and I fish, so we have our hobbies to keep us busy. Buddy is doing good also. He is such a sweet dog and a special part of our family. I´m heading out to your and Josiah´s graves now to add some lilies to the flowers that Mama put there for you. I miss you so much darling; life is just not the same without you. Happy 48th birthday sweetheart. We all miss you and love you, and are still grieving that we lost you this year. We miss your smile my darling, and life will never be the same without it. We miss walking into Harp´s and seeing you shine as the manager, helping everyone working there to be their best and interacting with the customers to make their experiences better. Darian and Waylon miss your strong motherhood, guiding them with your love to be the best they can be. We miss the gleam in your eye and love in your heart when Jason was near. I know Mama misses the love you two had for almost 48 years, her guiding you to be the best you could be. You turned out to be the best daughter a mother could have sweetheart. I know John misses his sister, and all the times you two had to share your lives together. And I know Josiah is sad that we are having to grieve once again for our deep, deep family loss, but that having you buried with him brings you two closer together. And Allison, I´ll always miss the love we shared as father and daughter. I'll always miss sending all the notes back and forth saying "I love you", knowing that we were always there for each other. I love you darling, always and forever. Happy birthday!

To my wonderful Daughter. I knew this would be a hard Mother's Day but I am reminded everyday of the beautiful memories we've shared. While everyone is going about living their lives it seems to me that time stood still the day you left us. I'm slowly trying to get back into a routine and returned to work last week. Waylon and Darian are doing the best they can without you here. You would be proud of them. Waylon is back home with me now. He spends a lot of time with Darian and Cameron. Darian is so protective of him. She is the best big sister! Darian is working extra hours to keep busy. Your were the best Mom to them. They love you so much and want to make you proud. I know your watching out for them now like you always did. They've learned so much from you. You did a great job! Mother's Day isn't the same without you here to share it with me. Jason came by and brought a card and gift from both of you. He is doing better, trying to stay busy which is good. We are going to get together with family and celebrate your Birthday June 4th. Happy Mother´s Day sweetheart! This is obviously a tough one for all of us, but you have left two wonderful children Allison, that love and adore you. You were the best mother in the world, and they are so fortunate to have had you as their mother for the time you were with them. And that makes Mother´s Day so special when it comes to your's, Darian's, and Waylon´s love. We miss you and love you darling!

My darling Allison, today marks the fifth week after that sad day that we lost you, but so many wonderful things have happened since then - all in celebration of your life and how you touched so many people in so many special ways. Your burial service was this past Saturday at Evergreen Cemetary, and so many of your friends and family were there to say their final goodbyes. The weather was perfect, and the cemetery grounds were majestic - all for you, my darling. Your good friend Kate Walker led the ceremony, and started with a touching remembrance of your life, and hers with you. After I gave your eulogy, many of your friends and family stood to share their memories of you. Friends like Angie, Spencer, Amanda, Nikki, Coach, a lady from Asphalt Kiss, Bernard, and others I cannot recall. But especially Matthew (Stanhope), who bared his spirit in remembrance and honor of you and your life in his. It was as touching and caring a declaration of friendship love as I can remember, and that any of us have probably ever heard. Your aunt Missy and sister-in-law Moni spoke about the years you had with them, and Missy talked about you as a child. Their stories were so warm and touching. Your friends at Butthut Smokehouse provided the venue and food for the after-service gathering, where your friends again came to celebrate and honor your life. Memories of you and your life flowed in the conversations, all with love and honor for you and what you brought to this life for us. Allison, the sadness that we as your family endured as they placed you in the ground and covered you up for eternity is eased by our knowing that you left a lifelong legacy for us and for your friends. You were a true superstar darling, and you will be loved and remembered forever. My love for you alway and always sweetheart, Papa.

You are so loved sweetheart, and missed by SO MANY more than you probably ever imagined.This time is so very hard for so many, but none more than your kids and family !
I know that leaving this earth... And your children was so concerning, but they are going to be okay, you raised them to be strong confident adults and they are going to be just fine although they will miss you dearly and shed tears no doubt,they have an entire punk rock family here for them ALWAYS...you are a wonderful mom, an amazing friend,and no doubt an awesome daughter. Your spirit will always be within all the souls that you touched including mine, and your musical talent has spread and touched the lives of so many... Your son I feel is going to carry on your legacy. I know that you are in heaven, looking down on all of us, finally at peace and pain free, God bless your soul, you'll always have an imprint in our hearts and minds as we find the strength to carry on without your presence. I´m so grateful for the short amount of time you were in my life...what a impact you made beautiful.

Rock the heavens love

My darling daughter Allison, today is four weeks since we lost you and we miss you so much. Losing your joy and strength from our lives has been so hard. We are looking forward to the gathering for your funeral service on this coming Saturday. Again, the outpouring of love and respect from those whose lives you touched is amazing sweetheart, and many or most will be at your service and after-party at Harp´s to celebrate your life and your connection with theirs. This past Saturday night was a memorial concert held at Kona skatepark in your honor. Mama, Darian, Waylon, John, Jason, and I were there to participate in your punk rock music community celebration. Nikki and Amanda did a wonderful job organizing it, with a beautiful memorial table with your pictures and notes for people to leave about their memories of you. It was so touching. Matthew Omen came into town from LA and brought some hoodies, t-shorts, and patches he had made with a picture of you holding your Jaguar bass, with the dates of your birth and death. Words cannot describe how beautiful the picture is. People there bought all of the items out, and wore them in the crowd. JR and FFN played, and JR made a touching tribute to you before their set, referencing their "fallen bandmate Allison Mathews". The crowd clapped loud and long in your honor. Allison, there aren´t many of us that will leave a legacy from our lives, but you have. I doubt that you will ever be forgotten by your friends, and family. I love you darling. I miss you so, and think of you every day, now and forever, Papa.

Missing your sweet spirit my Gemini Sister/Sister-in-law; Allison. My birthday won't be the same (6/3) for we always wished each other a Happy birthday (Yours 6/4). I will continue our ritual always for I'm blessed to ha ve had shared this time with you. Also, I know what a STRONG spirit you were but I also knew your SOFT side. That would be when you became a mother. We shared MANY times in the Motherhood department. Darian born 3 months after cousin Taylor and then came along Waylon. You were such a loving and devoted mother. My GREATEST memory will be of all the holidays and birthdays we shared with children. You may have had been a Sister-in-law by marriage but I truly looked at you as my Lil sister by Children. You will always be a part of my heart and the children are greatly loved by their Aunt Mo and Bubba. Continued prayers will be said for your family and friends.

My darling Allison, how we miss you so, and continue to see how many people miss the energy and love your life gave to theirs. It has been three weeks now that we lost you, and although the pain and grief does not get any better, the outpouring of love for you from your friends and family eases it a bit. Your music friends have organized a memorial concert next Saturday to bring their community together to celebrate your life. We will all attend to be there for you in that celebration. The plans for your service are progressing well, and I´ll keep you posted on any new developments. I love you sweetheart, Papa.

My darling Allison, it has been two weeks now that you´ve been gone, and we miss you so much. Knowing that you are no longer part of our lives hurts so bad, but knowing that you are not hurting anymore eases our pain. Planning for your service is going well sweetheart, and although it will be a sad day, it will allow everyone to celebrate the aspects of your life that so wonderfully touched their lives.You were a fantastic daughter, mother, and woman, Allison, and everyone that you touched knew and respected that about you. I love you sweetheart, and I miss you so. I´ll check in with you next week to let you know how we are doing. My love always, Papa.

Allison was a strong, beautiful, artistic soul, she made her own road and those who walked it with her are better people for it. Love you All is on.

My darling Allison, my sweet baby girl, it has been a week since we lost you, and we miss you so. You left us peacefully, and we are so grateful to Community Hospice for their care and comfort for you during your last days. Mama, Darian, Waylon, John, Jason, and I were there to say goodbye. The outpouring of love and respect from your family and friends has been amazing. It is so evident, Allison, that you were loved and respected by so many wonderful people. We are preparing now for your graveside service on April 15th, and all of your friends and family are invited to come and pay their respects for you. It will be a sad day, but one of closure for the chapters of their lives that you touched so wonderfully and beautifully. I love you sweetheart, and I´ll let you know how we are doing as we get closer to your service. Love you forever, Papa.

Mary, my thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time. I am so glad you took time off from work to spend with Allison. God give you peace. Shelly

Cousins Mark, Richard (Rick), and Gary, Jack´s brother, Hugh, Jacksonville, was our father, are all so very sorry for your loss of a dear lady. Our prayers for comfort and strength are ongoing and will never stop.
