Allison McGoldrick Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on May 29, 2025.
Allison McGoldrick, 54, of Bronx, New York, died in April 2025 from heart disease.

Allison was born on July 16, 1970, to William McGoldrick and Pauline Nolan. She was raised in the Bronx and attended St. Catharine Academy. She earned a BA in psychology and sociology and then pursued a masters in art history from the State University of New York at Buffalo. Allison spent much of her career on Wall Street as a foreign exchange trader.

Allison was a caring older sister who freely gave love and support to her brother and sister and her nieces and nephews. She was a generous friend and a selfless person. Allison was as brilliant and interesting as she was kind and loyal - a deep thinker who wore her heart on her sleeve.

A lifelong learner, she was a student of history (she particularly loved art history and Irish history) and was always on the hunt for a new book. She loved photography, cooking, cinema, music, and the Buffalo Bills. She enjoyed intellectual conversations and was always up for a good debate, whether on history or current events.

She will be missed by her brother John Nolan, her sister Jackie Black, and their families, by many cousins and other relatives, by former colleagues and classmates, and by her many friends across the world.

When I found out about Allison I was very heart broken. She was always showing care and love to everyone she knows including me. I been friends with her sister Jackie for over 22 years or even more I lost count lol. I looked at Allison as a big sister she always gave me advice and always supported me when I was going through tough times even when I hit the age of 40 years old. I´m gonna miss and cherish her. I love you Allison and I´m gonna miss you a lot. Rest In Paradise My Angel

Forever My Angel

You were laughter in my sorrow,
A calm in every storm,
A heart so full of kindness,
So tender, true, and warm.

You held me with your spirit,
Loved deeper than the sea,
A jewel now in heaven,
Still shining over me.

It hurts to say goodbye,
But your light will never fade
My angel, my sweet blessing,
In my heart, you´ll always stay.

I´m just feeling very sad. I miss Allison.
I´ve been reading what she wrote in Messenger last year about the environment and our world in general.
She cared so much about her brother and sister and their children.
Rest in peace Allison.
Missing you dearly,
Maureen Forde Brennan
