Allison Bailey Reed

Reed, Allison Bailey Reed, Allison Bailey at peace on January 29, 2019, age 26. Allison was the daughter of the late Cynthia (Bowles) Reed and Mark J. Reed, and dear brother of Charles K. Reed. Beloved granddaughter of Mary Sue Bowles and the late Robert Bowles, and the late Jack and JoAnne Reed. She was the niece of Karen (John) Ahlquist, John (Karen) Reed, and Jeffry (Patricia) Reed. She leaves behind many beloved cousins, other relatives and friends. Allison grew up in Webster Groves and Glendale and attended Rohan Woods School, Webster Groves High School, and the University of Missouri. Most recently she was living in West Palm Beach, FL. Allison was a kind and compassionate soul, who like her mother, had a particular love of animals. She will be remembered for her intellectual curiosity, which encompassed her love of books and writing, her passion for psychology, and her artistic talent. She had a dream of completing her degree in psychology, so she could help those suffering from mental illness and addiction. She was an avid fan of the band 21 Pilots and could talk for hours on end about their music. Allison enjoyed many happy summers on the shores of Lake Michigan at Camp Miniwanca, her last year bicycling round trip from the camp on Stony Lake to Sleeping Bear Dunes. Her family has many fond memories of her on trips to Colorado, Michigan, Hilton Head Island, SC and Captiva Island, FL. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Youth Foundation - Camp Miniwanca, 6357 Clayton Rd., St. Louis, MO 63117. Services: Emmanuel Episcopal Church, 9 S. Bompart Ave., Webster Groves, MO at 10a.m. Saturday, February 9th. Interment in the church's memorial garden next to her mother's mortal remains.
