Alma Marie Corbin

Alma Marie (Antley) Corbin was born on April 25, 1932, and passed away peacefully into the presence of Jesus on April 2, 2016, at the age of 83. Alma passed away due to complications from rheumatoid arthritis. Alma was born in Delhi, LA, and has been a resident of West Monroe, LA, and Baton Rouge, LA. Alma and Buck were members of St. Patrick's Catholic Church. Alma was an active member of the Parkview Oaks Garden Club for many years. Alma was a warmhearted and selfless wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Alma loved to garden, cook, sew, play cards, work puzzles, serve others, and spend time with family. A stranger never walked into her home and she always treated them like one of her own. Alma is survived by her husband of 63 years, William "Buck" Lelon Corbin Jr.; a brother, Doyle Antley and wife Janet Antley; a son, William "Bill" Lelon Corbin III and wife Seresa Corbin; two daughters, Beth Corbin Rico and husband Marlon Rico, and Beverly Corbin Pourciau; five grandchildren, Lani Corbin Litchfield and husband B.J. Litchfield, William "Lee" Lelon Corbin IV, Haven Pourciau, Camryn Pourciau, and McKaylee Pourciau; two great-grandchildren, Alexis and Stella Litchfield; and many nieces, nephews, friends, and extended family. Alma's grandchildren were the pride and joy of her life. Alma is preceded in death by her parents, Delphine Harrell Antley and Jewel Chester Antley; brother, Jewel Delphin Antley and wife Patsy Antley; and sister, Bertha Irene DeFreese and husband James DeFreese. Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation, which will be held at Resthaven Gardens of Memory and Funeral Home, on Wednesday, April 6, 2016, from 12:00 PM until services at 2:00 PM. William "Lee" Lelon Corbin IV will be delivering the eulogy. The pallbearers will be Jim Cazes, Tom Howard, John Ricca, Mark Antley, Scott Antley, and Lee Corbin and the honorary pallbearer will be B.J. Litchfield.
