Alma Hines

My relationship with Alma covers sixty two years from 1958 until now. She was married to Norman Hines and I was married to E. J. Hines. They were first cousins, more like brothers, so naturally Alma and I were together a lot. I admired Alma for her quiet, easy going personality who loved Norman, their children, and her family. Her commitment to Providence Baptist Church through the years is quite commendable, and her talents and contributions were many: singing in the choir; decorating the sanctuary for all seasons with beautiful floral arrangements; preserving and organizing historical information for the church and the family; and so much more. Alma was content to be in the background, but her influence was strong and will continue. May God bless each member of the family as we all grieve her death, but not without hope that we will see her again.
