Alma Rosa Tobias Obituary
to Paul Romero Salazar Sr. and the late Amanda Salazar. On May 8, 2016 our beautiful, caring mother
went to heaven and joined our Lord and Savior where she will find peace and no more pain.
Alma is survived by her son, Mario Tobias, Jr. of Brownwood; daughter, Veronica Tobias of San Angelo;
sisters, Amanda Urteaga, Olga Castillo; brothers, George Salazar and Paul Salazar Jr. of Brownwood.
She also leaves behind granddaughters, Tilleri Porter, Aishia Tobias both of Brownwood, Jasmine Herrera of Comanche, Alexzis Lumbrera of San Angelo; grandson, Destino Tobias of Brownwood; great-
granddaughters, Promise Herrera of Comanche and Olive Estrada of Brownwood.
Alma never met a stranger. Whether in the library, grocery store or Doctor's office, we would find her
chatting away with a new friend. All of our friends called her mom. Mom was the life of the party
always bringing family and friends together, celebrating life. She loved cooking enchiladas, beans, rice,
tortillas and her favorite Thanksgiving dressing and cobbler. Mother's Day was a wonderful celebration
this year; all her children, grandchildren and father were present. We never imagined we were enjoying
our last celebration with mom.
We will all remember her cruising in her Grand AM, her zest for life, her creativeness, caring, helpful,
supportive spirit to all, but let us not forget her bluntness. When she had something to say she would let
you know. Many of us have our own stories to attest to that.
Mother, no more worries, medicines, doctor appointments, needles or pain; you have gone to rest in our Lords loving arms. We would like to express our gratitude to all the health care staff that cared for our beloved mom. We love and miss you, love Mario, and Veronica.
A memorial service for Alma Rose Salazar Tobias will be held May 15, 2016, 2:30 p.m. at Davis-Morris Funeral Home, 800 Center Ave., Brownwood, Texas 76801
Arrangements under the direction of Davis-Morris Funeral Home, Brownwood, TX.

My condolences to all her family. Veronica, your mother was a wonderful person. I remember always talking to her when you and I were in school together and she would always say "HI Mija" and always gave her special hug. Always with a smile on her face. May GOD comfort you and your family during this difficult time.

I member her cooking and the good laughs at the Harris apts...lol and her Thanksgiving meal was amazing. She will be missed. Our condolences to all her family and she is up in heaven wit a glorious God!! May he bring peace to your heart.
