Alma Joyce Stowers

Alma Joyce Stowers (79) passed away on August 19, 2012. She was born on May 8, 1933, the daughter of Alonzo and Tona Estep. She was predeceased by her parents; her husband, Rexal L. Stowers; her daughter, Marlyn Gail Stowers; her brother, James Estep; and her sister, Margie Estep. She is survived by her sister, Ruby Jackson Murphy; her children, Rexal L. Stowers Jr. and his wife, Sharon, Linda S. Bouvette, and Richard H. Stowers and his wife, Jeanna; her grandchildren, Christopher Stowers and his wife, Monica, Jessi Truett and her husband, Chet, Justin Stowers and his wife, Nicole, Chad Stowers, and Maggie Mae Bouvette; and her great-grandchildren, Ollie and Cy William Truett, and Alaina Stowers. Joyce was a member of Kanawha Salines Presbyterian Church. Her death has created a void in the lives of those who knew her and loved her and we will miss her every day. The funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 22, 2012, at Kanawha Salines Presbyterian Church, Malden, with the Rev. John Appleton and the Rev. Grover Jackson Jr. officiating. The burial will follow the service in Stowers-Adkins Family Cemetery, Lincoln County. Family and friends will gather for the visitation on Tuesday, August 21, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Stevens & Grass Funeral Home, Malden. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations to Kanawha Salines Presbyterian Church, 4303 Salines Drive, Malden, West Virginia 25306.
