ALMA WALTER Obituary
Age 90, formerly of Castle Shannon for 51 years, passed away on Monday, March 2, 2015. Loving wife of the late William H. Walter, Jr. for 67 years; daughter of the late William and Alma Pietsch of Beltzhoover; sister of the late William (Ann) Pietsch, the late Helen (Ray) Sloss, and the late Ruth (Clifford) Zumbrook; beloved mother of Susan (James) Dombrosky of Scott Twp., the late Sandra Walter, William D. Walter of Pennsbury Village, Ronald (Judith) Walter of Baldwin; beloved grandmother of Ronald T. Walter, Laura (John) Stubna, and Joseph J. Walter; sister-in-law to the late Carl (Helen) Walter; aunt to many nieces and nephews. She lived for her family as a loving and devoted wife, mother and very proud grandmother. In retirement, she led an active and joy-filled life with Bill, biking, boating, dancing and especially as a "Snowbird" in Florida for over 20 years. She enjoyed animals and loved her schnauzers. She was a talented seamstress, enjoyed knitting and painting. Her sweet smile and loving nature will be missed by everyone who knew her. Visitation will be Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the JEFFERSON MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, INC., 301 Curry Hollow Rd., Pleasant Hills. Funeral Service will be Friday at 10 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Entombment will follow in Jefferson Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hamilton Presbyterian Church, 4500 Hamilton Rd., Pittsburgh, PA 15236. Condolences may be given at

What wonderful memories I have of Aunt Alma and Uncle Bill--growing up across the street, then anxiously awaiting their visits to Florida every year. What fun we had! She was the perfect wife, mother and aunt and we will miss her so much. To Susan, Bill, Ron and families, our deepest sympathies at this sad time. Love, Marcia and Rick
