Gray Hansen
Our little mom returned to her father in heaven November 14, 2006. We will all miss her dearly. She was born January 2, 1920 in Lehi, UT to Hyrum R. and Charlotte Austin Gray. She married Howard L. Dettmar February 10, 1940, they divorced. She later married Lewis C. Hansen. He died in 1976.
Alta was a school lunch worker at Lehi High School and the Utah State Developmental Center. She was active in the LDS Church and served in the Relief Society and was a Scout Leader and Primary Teacher. She was a volunteer at the Lehi Senior Citizens Center.
Survived by her children, Howard Ron (Phyllis) Dettmar, Taylorsville; Dell R. (Kathy) Dettmar, Lynnwood, WA; Brent K. (Rhonda) Dettmar, Glendale, AZ; Sandy (Dennis) Fitzgerald, Lehi; 22 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; brothers, Lynn (Joye) Gray, Orem; Rex (Nina) Gray, West Jordan; sisters, Marie Littleford, Lehi; Joyce (Jack) Phillips, Pleasant Grove; brother-in-law, Rod Davenport, Lehi. She will again be united with her daughter, Julie Ann Dettmar, great-grandson, Riley Grace, her mom and dad, brother Elmo Gray, sisters Elaine Gardner and LaRee Davenport. Our mom was loved by all and will never be forgotten.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 20, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. in the Wing Mortuary chapel, 118 E. Main, Lehi, where friends and family may call on Sunday evening from 6-8:00 p.m. and one hour prior to the services on Monday. Interment, Lehi City Cemetery. Online guestbook at wingmortuary.com.

Grandma, That has always been a happy word for me. She has been more than just grandma she has been grandma, mom, and best friend my whole life. I'm going to miss her hug's, kiss's, smiles and laughter. She was loved by everyone, She was the sweetest most loveable person. She was always willing to lend a hand execpt when the Jazz was on of course. Anyone who know's her know's she loved the Jazz. We are glad that Trinity got to know her grandma great. She will be missed by all. WE LOVE YOU GRANDMA, Lisa, Darren & Trinity Grace.

I am the granddaughter of Alta Hansen, Stacy Derbyshire, I would like to share some things with you about my grandmother. She was a very caring person and we loved her very much. She went on lots of family vacations with us as I was growing up and we would go and visit her almost every weekend. She always tried to be to every family event and was there when I was married to my husband, Tyler. She also came to see each of my kids, Kaden and Kaylee, when they were born and was loved very much by them as she loved them. She loved to visit with them every chance she got. We will all miss her very much and she will never be forgotten. Love you Grandma.
