My grandfather, Avery Stanfield, was Aunt Ellie Bee's brother. I remember going with my Mawmaw Stanfield to see A C in the hospital after he injured his knee playing football. We all lived in Vivian, La, grew up and left the area one by one. The last time I saw A C was at Walmart about 4 years ago. He had the same twinkle in those blue eyes and the same smile that he had as a boy. Such a sweet and kind person. Yes, I remember all of you. God Bless each of you

What a wonderful man Mr Mason was. I was privileged to have him as a resident at two different communities. He was a gentleman and always had a smile. My thoughts and prayers are with each of you.

Praying for you all in your time of loss. A.C. and Irene were so wonderful to us when we worked at A&P. We spent many good times with them. John went on ahead (2009) and I am sure they are now present with the Lord. I am thankful for the blessed hope that we too can join them one day! May you find comfort and Peace in His Love.

Another faithful soldier has finished his duties in the line of service to this world. He was truly a kind and caring man of God. I never heard him say an unkind word about anyone. Through all his pain, he never complained, but always said he was blessed. There are only good memories of the more than 50 years that I knew him. What a legacy he leaves for us. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. May the Lord bless and strengthen the family to press on and someday join him and his sweet wife on the other side.

I'm sure that my Mom and Dad were there to welcome him. That is the only comfort that we will be with them again.
