My Memories and Time spent with Alvin go way back, and because of knowing him has made me a better person in life. His Championship and Executive Leadership with the Golden State Warriors is extensive and Very Memorable. I phoned him once and told him of a very spirited group of children that wanted to meet him and attend a basketball clinic. He phoned me back within the hour and greenlighted the clinic,so it was my impression that he would send some associates and staff.Several vans pulled up, and the first person exiting was Alvin himself, accompanied by 6 Warriors players to do the Clinic. We had about 50 children who got an experience of a lifetime of knowledge, fun, laughter and prizes and a lifetime of fundamentals of the game, that they will Never forget. That is the Beauty of My Friend, Mr.Alvin Attles. May God Bless and Bring Comfort to Your Loving Family Always, Malik McClain, Oakland Ca

I've been an Alvin Attles, and Warriors, fan since the late '60s. And I was fortunate to have had the opportunity to meet him in the early '90s. For all of his legendary toughness on the court, he was delightfully friendly and funny during our conversation. A highly respected and beloved gentleman, athlete, coach, and representative for the game of basketball, the Warriors, and decency.
