I met Alvin when I was campaigning in 2007 in the election. Although I only met him that one time, he made quite an impression. He showed me his scar from when the train rolled over his foot and also told me of the bike trip to Germany he had taken with his son in his late 80s. He certainly seemed to have made sure that he lived and not merely existed. My condolences for your loss.

Today is the funeral of a very kind and generous man, who made an impression just because of his humility. Al and Hilda became true friends of our family and our sympathy goes out to Dave and everyone at this time. He will always be remembered.

Al Fyhn gave me the start of my career with Sask. Wheat Pool when he came to Biggar to interview me about a position as acting agent at Herschel.I leared a lot from this quiet no nonsence man in all of the years that I worked for and with him.

Our deepest condolences to Al's Family. We were fortunate to make Al's acquaintance when we joined the Parade Committee. We loved working with him and he was a great role model for us " younger members". We will miss his friendly smile but are grateful for the many happy memories we have of Al.

The thoughts and prayers of the entire Donnelly family are with the Fyhn family through this difficult time.
When I think of Mr Fyhn, the first thing that comes to mind is seeing him riding on his bike around Regina. And I mean everywhere!!

Al was a wonderful man. I belong to UCT and he was one of my favorite people. He was always happy and smiling and loved being involved. He will be sadly missed. Deepest sympathy to the family.

My deepest sympathy to the family as Al was a great man. Al was a long time serving member of the Parade Committee and always ready to lend a hand, share a smile and crack a joke. He will certainly be remembered by all his friends for these attributes.
We trust the family will find comfort in knowing that Al had oh so many friends and everyone he came into contact with soon became a friend to him. Although words cannot help you at this time know that he will be missed by many and that these memories of Al will continue to bring a smile to all our faces.
On behalf of the Parade Committee and myself know that we have lost a great person and we were fortunate to have volunteered alongside him so we could get to know Al and the fine man he was.
