Alvin Monroe Lloyd

Alvin Monroe Lloyd Wilmington - Alvin Monroe Lloyd passed away the morning of June 20, 2023 after a relatively short battle with cancer.

Al was a much loved son, brother, father and friend. He leaves a hole in our hearts that will never be filled.

Al attended Ravenscroft school in Raleigh, he attended and earned certification in Mechanical Drafting from Cape Fear Technical Institute where he was consistently on the Dean's list. He also attended Louisburg College and the University of North Carolina at Wilmington.

Al was a surveyor in Wilmington for over twenty years and worked with many of the surveyors in the area and those he worked with will be holding a memorial service in his honor.

Al was predeceased in life by his father William L. Lloyd Sr. and his brother Daniel G. Lloyd. He is survived by his mother Ruby P. Lloyd, his daughter Alexandra Morgan Lloyd and his brother William L. Lloyd Jr. He is also survived by cousins and friends that he loved very much.

In lieu of a traditional service family and friends will have a celebration of Al's life in the next few weeks. It will be in the form of a cookout. We will break bread and tell stories about a much loved son, brother, father and friend gone too soon.
