Always had a good talk with your Uncle Al. He brought my spirits up at my father's wake (Ed Mancheski). Always interested to know what I was up to. Always said there was another Mancheski that was famous in Door County. All my thoughts and prayers,Doug Mancheski

Dear Mancheski Family: I send my heartfelt sympathy for your loss. What a huge loss Dr. Mancheski is to you and the rest of our communities. I know personnally what a wonderful man he was in our community. My parents and Grandma Burkart loved to have their eyes checked by Dr. Mancheski. He was so kind and mild-mannered. He was loved by all. The following is difficult for me to know how to place it in an appropriate manner, but I must let you know. I woke up this morning thinking about Dr. Mancheski. I wondered if he was still living, next I thought about his coaching time at East High. Also, I thought about the eye exams at Saint Mary of the Angels, (I think the latter inspired all the memories). I thought whether or not he might have helped with coaching at SMS. It was somewhat strange, (in a good way), that I thought about Doctor Al. I will pray for all of you, especially his sweetheart, Dawn. Dawn is the kindest, sweetest, smartest, and all things that are good wrapped in one human being. May God help ALL of the Mancheskis find peace and assist you in continuing on with Dr. M's unselfish work. God Bless You in the name of Jesus Christ.

Many thanks "Coach Al" for the many lessons provided; for sharing your time, wisdom, and vision, and for instilling and nurturing a competitive spirit in the many young lives you touched. Your patience and dedication forever admired and remembered. And no one will ever forget that '65 Red Devils team you so masterfully guided to an undefeated season as Wisconsin's #1 ranked high school football team!
Sincere condolences to the family.
