Sadly, I did not know Al for very long. During that short time he shared with me some of his greatest accomplishments throughout his career. I could see he was proud of his life's work and rightfully so.
However, it was clear that he was most proud of his family. His face lit up when he pointed out the picture of him and his lovely wife, Betty sitting among all their children and grandchildren, which is displayed front and center as you enter their home. What a beautiful family it is.
To Betty and family I give you my deepest sympathies for your loss. To AL, I want to say thank you for the chance to have known you for even a brief time. Thank you for your service and all you did for the community. May you rest in peace.
