The family will receive friends on Friday, October 29, 2021 from 6-7 PM at W. J. Smith & Son Funeral Home. Due to COVID-19 a funeral service (for family members only) will be held at Cary's Chapel Baptist Church on Saturday, October 30, 2021 at 1:30 PM with burial following in Hampton Memorial Gardens. (Masks are required in the church)
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to Home and Foreign Missions, c/o Cary's Baptist Church, 1615 Cary's Chapel Rd, Yorktown, Va. 23693.

The one thing we have in life is our loved ones whether still here with us or passed on. The memories will always be in our hearts. Alvin will certainly be missed and memories of him will always be a part of us. Praying for all the family.

Our Prayers and Condolences to the Russell Family. Deacon Alvin Russell was a true Angel sent from GOD. Cheryl , Keith, and family my prayers and love will always be with you. I will always remember the wonderful Memories . He is sadly missed.
