Mrs. Reita Ellis Wilson -- Born February 3, 1932 in Carthiage, MS, died Friday, March 26, 2004 in a local hospital. Mrs. Wilson taught in the Mobile County School System for over 35 years. She was a member of Satsuma United Methodist and was active in many civic groups and organizations including Satsuma Community Development Organization and Satsuma Library Board. She was a dedicated and selfless member of the Springhill Medical Center Auxiliary 'Pink Ladies' for over 15 years. She devoted well over 3500 Volunteer Hours to serving the patients, families and employees of Springhill Medical Center. She has served in many leadership roles including board member and Auxiliary President. Her leadership helped make Springhill Medical Center Auxiliary one of the top hospital volunteer organizations in the state. She was preceded in death by her husband, William T. 'Bill' Wilson, III. She is survived by a son, William T. 'Tom' Wilson, IV; daughter-in-law, Bridget Wilson; grandson, William T. 'Will' Wilson, V; and brother, O. L. Ellis, Jr. Visitation will be held from the funeral home on Sunday, March 28, 2004 from 5 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held from Satsuma United Methodist Church on Monday, March 29, 2004 at 1 p.m. The family will receive friends in the church from 12:30 until service time. Interment will be in Creola Cemetery. The family request in lieu of flowers donations be made to Springhill Medical Center Auxiliary, 3719 Dauphin St, Mobile, AL 36608 or Satsuma United Methodist Church Youth Fund, P. O. Box 879, Satsuma, AL 36572. Funeral arrangements by RADNEY FUNERAL HOME, 1200 Industrial Parkway, Saraland, AL.
