Lys, I have so many amazing memories with you that I can't write them all down. You will forever be my best friend. Your determination for work, school, family and friends is something I truly admire. I miss you more than anything. We didn't know Alyssa well, but the times we were around her she always had a beautiful smile on her face and didn't meet a stranger. She loved and was loved by so many.

Although a very sad time..it is so nice to see the love for Alyssa. ..that beautiful smile of hers will carry on forever in hearts...

My favorite memories of Alyssa are when we would all ( Chris with Alyssa and Colton, Leslie with her kids, and me with my girls ) go to grandma and grandpa Hogue's house on the weekends or Christmas day to have dinner and all the kids would play together in the toy room, playing the little piano, or playing house with the dolls, or out in the back yard, splashing in a little pool in the summer, or playing on the swing set, opening grandma and grandpa's gifts on Christmas morning. Alyssa's beautiful smile and disposition is what I will always remember her by. She was always a person of beautiful character and life. She was always smiling as if nothing in the world was on her mind except for the moment right then and there. Her relationship with her family always seemed important no matter the circumstance. When Chris, Alyssa and Colton first joined our family, Alyssa and I would often both turn around when someone called either of our names (Alyssa… Melissa…). As a solution, we'd either end up over-emphasizing pronunciations or we would make up silly nicknames and laugh at ourselves. Reading through these notes, I smile reading the other nicknames that friends and family had for Alyssa.

I remember Alyssa always smiling! She would come to family functions and greet everyone with her beautiful smile. I lived away for many years and didn't have the opportunity to know my nieces and nephews as well as most of the family, so her smile meant so much towards accepting us as family. Heaven gained another beautiful angel.

After meeting Alyssa at the Heeke's I remember telling Jeanette what a special person she was. Our thoughts and prayers continue to be with you.

I have so many wonderful memories of my BEAUTIFUL niece Alyssa! A couple of times I had all of my nieces over for a slumber party. The girls put make-up on each other, oh if that wasn't a site!One of the times we went over and toilet papered grandma and grandpa Hogues house.( which I believe was her idea) We laughed so hard trying to keep quiet.Of course the whole thing did not make grandpa Hogue very happy at all!Grandma thought it was funny when she found out who had done it.The times we would go shopping and she would have only a dollar to spend and we would go to the make-up section of the dollar store. Her laugh, her smile, her sense of humor. I LOVE YOU LISARD! Thank you for all of the good memories. I will see you later!

We have several memories of Alyssa. We would like to share a few with you. Alyssa was always very kind to us, and we will remember her with a smile in our hearts .
When Alyssa and her younger brother came to our house for the first time, they couldn't get over all the hills and crooked roads they had traveled to visit us. I think ,they thought we lived in the mountains. We opened the door to a giggling young lady with the famous smile on her face, and her younger brother, saying in unison "Hi Grandma Heeke".Evidently they had practiced on the way down...
Once we were preparing for her youngest brother's 1st birthday party. Alyssa helped me make fruit kabobs.(I think we ate as much fruit as we put on the kabobs).As we worked, she once again wore a beautiful smile.
When Amanda, Alyssa and I went shopping, Alyssa told me to be sure and check out the clearance items. She was quite the little shopper. And very good shopper at that!
One we went to watch Alyssa play in soccer match. After the match, she came over and thanked us for coming. Not many teenage girls would go the trouble to make us feel as welcomed. Once again, Alyssa was very kind to us, and this is what we will remember.
As I close, with a few of our memories of Alyssa-- we would like your hearts to be filled with wonderful memories of joyful times together, as you celebrate a beautiful life.

Michaela starts 4th grade this year. She realized that you would have been starting 14th grade. It's the little things that make us think of you. Be careful learning to fly. We will remember you always.

The first time I met Alyssa was at The Heeke's. She was sitting on the sofa and Michaela asked if she could paint my fingernails. She did and then painted Alyssa's nails. Alyssa made Michaela's day when she smiled and told her how nice they looked.
Alyssa is a sweet girl who is and will be sorely missed.

Lys I miss you so much. It's been hard on everyone not having your beautiful spirit around. I wish I could just call you right now instead of write to you, but either way I know you are listening. I will always cherish that last Real Hac lunch we had that Friday (and of course getting hit on by the workers) and will never forget the last words you said to me as we were walking out to our cars, "I love you babe. text me later tonight." Little did I ever know those would be the last words I would physically hear from you. I know you are so happy and at peace now. You better be making an appearance at the Wiz, Drake and Wayne concerts this weekend, too, because we all know how excited you were for them again this year! The strength you have given us all through this difficult time carries on your legacy of how strong you were as a person. I'm so lucky to have a guardian angel like you watching over me. Thank you for letting me be your big on the soccer team and coming to north! I don't know what Fab5 would be without you and I don't know who I would be as a person if you had not been a part of my life. Thank you for being the best friend and person possible. I am so unbelievably blessed to have known you and been able to call you my best friend and sister. I love you forever and always.

I wanna reach out and call you again and hear your sweet voice answer and say "hey kinz" ii can still hear you talk to me and ii know you are here with all of us smiling above us and ii know your happy . You were always happy no matter what you showed unbelievable strength no matter what life threw at you and that is something that you taught me and ii will carrying on forever .. Just as you have always told me to do what makes me happy and never look back . My favorite memory with Alyssa was just this past New Years because on that very night her and I were insepareble. We talked and laughed that whole night just as we alwyas did. From lunches together to meeting up in the bathrooms at North just to talk about our boy problems. My last memory with you was just a little over 3 weeks ago. You came in the door and gave me such a big hug, told me you missed me, then told me you had to pee. I started hysterically laughing. I showed you to the bathroom and we literally just stood there and talked and laughed for a while. You always had the best avice and I hope I gave you the same. I will always remember that beautiful smile and that contagious laugh. I think about it all the time. Not a single day goes by that you don't run through my mind constantly. You have taught me so much that I am thankful for. I miss you so much and I always will. You are literally the most beautiful person I have ever met! My thoughts and prayers are forever with your family. Oh and happy birthday gorgeous!

Alyssa's beautiful smile and laughter will be greatly missed. She has touched so many lives and hearts. Her infectious laughter will never be forgotten.
