Amanda, You have been on my mind today so much.Everywhere I have looked there has been something that a has brought a memory of you. You never leave my mind,but some days memories are brighter and sharper than others,today has been one of those days.Rylan started 4th grade this year.He is such a beautiful boy,strong willed,and loves his computer games. only. Oh My! What a week we have had so far. Of course you knew Kristen was there already didn't you? Thank you for keeping me on top of things! And the God Wink at Goodwill, finding a Graham Creek shirt right before Grandparent's Day, that was AWESOME. Of course you showed me the piggy shirt for Ethan and the robot shirt for Rylan too. I love when you send me to the right place at the right time! I bet you are up there laughing like crazy at how nervous your dad is right now. You know he'll be fine because Mamaw & Papaw will be with him. I miss you so much and love your dad and Rylan so much. Please keep the God Winks coming and I'll keep looking for them!

Rylan had an excellent day after school today! My cousin and his friend took him to get a new shirt for school pictures and he also got new shoes (which he is VERY proud of) and a wallet. Then he got to choose where to eat (of course he chose Chinese). They had a little extra time before he had to be back and they asked him where he wanted to go and much to their surprise he said the park, not the pet store, so he had a grand time there as well. I'm sure you were there with him the whole time. We miss you.

Well we had Rylan here for the summer. What a fiesty little joy he was . He is ready to go in to the second grade. and excited about choosing his lunch from the buffet. We miss you more every day Amanda.We see so much of you in Rylan. You presence is felt in every little thing we do.. I never got the chance to formally thank you; You have been the eyes to watch over this family and the pearl wings to guide them, and learn the lessons of life. This family is strong, bold, and ever so much courageous after losing such a bold, and beautiful heart. I want to thank you for being the wind that carries their prayers and the ears that listen, and the hand that heals alongside those who hurt. I want to thank you for making such a great heart out of a man that hurt to see you go but can now love stronger, and live by going on by what you said; "You only live once"

You are greatly missed Amanda, and although I never got the chance to get to know you, I have so much to Thank you for, and to praise you for. A wonderful mother, friend, sister, and many more. May you forever be remembered in somber thoughts, never in sorrow or pain, but in happiness and love. Happy Birthday Amanda. Rylan will be back home by the first of June we hope, his last day of school is May 27th. We didn't get to take Rylan to Covered Bridge this year, but I'm sure you were watching over him in Oklahoma while he hunted for Easter eggs there. Everyone still misses you so much.

Amanda missed you so much this Christmas, It was a wonderful Chrismas, but will never be the same with out you. Rylan was here with us,it was such a precious time He is so much like you. Hi Amanda. I have your son here with me tonight. He is growing so fast. Norma & I took him to Covered Bridge Egg hunt again this year. For Spring break Mona & I took him & Ethan to Indy stayed at Carribean Cove, went to the zoo and the children's museum. We all had fun. Wish you were really there with us, Rylan got to be a "Junior Dolphin Trainor" and he was so happy. Everyone misses you, thank God you gave us Rylan so we could see your face (and personality) in this physical life. I hope you like what we've been doing with Rylan.

There isnt a day that has passed that I haven't thought about Amanda. I miss her so bad and I hate the fact that I didnt get to tell her goodbye. I know i will see her again someday, but until then I ask myself Why? Why someone so young had to be taken from this world. She was such a bubbly smiling girl that loved to have a good time. I heard abou this from my cousin who knows a Belinda in the family. I cried when I heard about this and I pray for the son...I have two daughters and my oldest one lost her father in 2005. I know what your all going through losing a loved one and leaving a baby behind. It all happens in a blink of an eye...Then I read that this could of been my husbands ex girlfriends sister? I didn't know starting a job at a nursing home in the kitchen over 4 years ago would bloom a friendship.

I remember walking in my first day knowing little and felt intimidated by those who knew more than I did at that job.

There was 1 girl who stood out to me on that first day. This girl had the white blonde hair, the chest tattoo, the vibacious voice and the intensely contagious laugh. The first words she spoke to me were, "Get out of my way!"

From that day forward, I considered Amanda Burrell a friend. We laughed daily as we walked in and failed to have the desire to wash dishes. However, we found ways to over amuse ourselves. We made fun of each other, we laughed with each other, we left on breaks together and always wound up strolling in later than our break allowed.

She was so much fun there. The day she left a lot changed. This just showed the impact she had on that job and I'm sure wherever she went was the same. She absolutely made your day and as cliche as it sounded, she was wonderful.

I am deeply saddened for her entire family as well as her friends. Rylan, your mother has left such an impact on anyone she has met and I know that quality is instilled in you. I can't even fathom the thought of what a child so young must be dealt as he comes to terms with his mother leaving. Your mother left behind an amazing fleet of friends who will always be there for you no matter how many years pass.

It saddens me that after she left the nursing home that our talks were only online or were when we saw each other out. This just goes to show to keep your friends close and remind them everyday of their qualities, because as fast as life is brought into this world, it leaves.

Amanda, you will be forever missed and forever loved by all those you've left behind. We will see you one day.

Mike, I dont really know what to say to you at a time like this. I am so sorry for your loss. I cant even begin to imagine the pain you are going through. We aren't suppose to live longer than our babies are we? Stay strong for that beautiful little grandson of yours. And remember: Where God puts a period-don't put a question mark!

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.

Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.

It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.

God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.

When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.

I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.

There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.

If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......""My day was not in vain.""
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.

So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.

And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

amanda- im so sorry i never got to come back out and see you. i always kept thinking that there will be more time, that i'll come next summer or next summer. but i never came. i miss you and miss that i didnt get to grow up with you. i'll miss the memories that i cant even remember. i love you though. i love the person that i heard you were. love ya girl. miss you lots! <3

If only we could have hugged you, and said that we loved you, before you went away. there are so many things that we all would have wanted to say. I was deeply saddened by Amanda's passing. Amanda was a very beautiful person both inside & out. She always had a smile on and could brighten any room. I only knew Amanda through work at Covered Bridge, the halls were full of smiles & laughter when she was around. She & I shared stories & laughter on breaks, she was so full of life. Amanda would have been a great, compassionate nurse. I hope you can feel the wind in heaven Amanda. I miss you. Dear Family of Amanda,
I felt my hear shatter when I heard of your loss. Amanda did much for my family when we moved into Seymour. She gave the gift of her friendship to my daughter Joanna. Encouraged us to attend her Church; and was instrumental in both Joanna and Melissa joining the Rainbow Girls. As for me she also intoduced me to her Grandmother Norma Burrell. And Norma remains for me the best person I have ever known. I've forever wanted to say thank you to Amanda. I've thought much of this over the years. So please know my thoughts & prayers are with you and Amanda's son.

I never knew her, but I saw her just after she passed. Hearing things about, her, I already know that she was a wonderful person.

Amanda, Jennifer, and Mike, all grew up down the street from me by shields when they lived with their grandparents and just 2 years ago Amanda went with me and few friends to Ozzfest. Great chick.. It was my 21 birthday she died on and that is really hard to know.. To good times and the memories that shall never end.. You'll never be forgotten she knows who I am.. Rip Girl..

Amanda brought "sunshine" into Mother's room at Covered Bridge. (Toby Brewer) I watched as she treated Mother with compassion, courtesy and respect. She set the bar high for the other care givers. She will be missed. Thoughts and prayers go out to her loved ones and friends.

I saw you like 5 minutes before you passed. You were a beautiful young woman, only a couple years older than me. I'm glad you got to see how beautiful of a day God made for you. Amanda was a caring and very funny person! I loved being around her and she always brought the best out of me!! It was definately a sad day Saturday and will be for awhile.
