She was born in Lowell on Sept. 18, 1912, daughter of the late Joseph and Virginia (Bineault) Pinard. She received her education from Notre Dame de Lourdes School.
Mrs. Sech was a communicant of St. Patrick's Church in Lowell. She was a member of the Lowell Council on Aging, the Golden Age Club, and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary of Dracut and Lowell.
She enjoyed singing and playing bingo.
She is survived by four sons, Raymond Vengren and his wife Diana of Hudson, N.H., John Vengren and his wife Aline of Salem, N.H., Francis Vengren and his wife Kareen of Zephyhill, Fla., Mike Sech and his fiancee Gail Hubin of Lowell; four daughters, Elaine Wills and her husband Bill of Amherst, N.Y., Patricia Elderd and her husband Frank of Lowell, Barbara DiMauro and her husband Lenny of Swampscott, Susan Carbonneau and her husband Rick of Billerica. She also leaves a daughter-in-law, Laurette Y. Vengren of Dracut; 24 grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; her godchild, Donna Kendall; and several nieces and nephews.
She was the mother of Walter J. Vengren, who died in 1999, and Rose Mary (Scesny) Agnew, who died Oct. 22. Mrs. Sech was also the sister of the late Walter, Joseph O., Joseph A. Pinard and Blanche Montbleau.

May you all find peace in your hearts. Know that she is now in the hands of god. May you all remember Amanda as a vibrant loving women with a full life, she adored her family. I came to know her through working with her for many years ay Sunny Acres. I moved to Florida and when I left that last day she told me god bless and may you find peace wherever you go. She was well liked my many at Sunny Acres. We will miss her.

Amanda Sech is my grandmother whom I will miss very much. My only regret is not seeing her before she died but she was and always will be in my mind and in my heart. I love you granny.
