Amarjit GILL Obituary
Passed away peacefully at his home in Calgary, AB on January 6, 2012. Loving husband of Nilam for 54 years. Beloved father of Minna and Nita (Bruce). Proud grandfather of Lauren and Nicole. Younger brother of Swaraj Chawla and Manmohan Gill. Compassionate uncle of Param. Ambi was an avid golfer and enjoyed spending time tending his garden. Not only did he enjoy cooking, but he also loved eating out at new East Indian restaurants. He cherished his family and friends, and took joy in celebrating their accomplishments. He was a caring husband who devoted his time looking after his wife. A Private Memorial Service was held on January 12, 2012. If desired, donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada in his name.
Papa, we will miss your laughter, guidance,
support and delicious cooking.

I was so sorry to see the passing of Mr Gill. I always have good memories of you as our neighbors in Cambrian Heights. Mr. Gill always smiled and welcomed me when I came to play. My parents often spoke of the wonderful meals you invited them for in your home. Thinking of you all at this sad time.
