AMBER ROSE (DANOWSKI)
Age 46, of Bethel Park, formerly of Baldwin, passed away on June 14, 2013 after a four year battle with cancer. She was born on September 11, 1966 to the late Ambrose and Virginia Danowski. Loving wife of Scott Blackhurst; sister of Bruce (Carlotta) Danowski, Pam (Ray) Panicco, and Amy Danowski (Chris Lassak); aunt of Jordan, Preston, Blake, Kelsey, Brady, and Brogan; daughter-in-law of Becky Lee (Dennis) Grim and David (Elaine) Blackhurst; and she is also survived by her best friend, Tracy (Hickly) Milton. Amber will be deeply missed by all friends who knew and cared for her. She was a criminal research specialist for the Secret Service for over 27 years and was a graduate of Baldwin High School. Amber and Scott enjoyed many vacations to Tulum, Mexico where they were married in May 2009. Visitation will be on Monday from 1-4 and 6-9 p.m. at the JEFFERSON MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, INC., 301 Curry Hollow Rd., Pleasant Hills, where a Service will be held on Tuesday at 11:30 a.m. "You never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have, Ask-Believe-Receive, the journey is the beautiful part". In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the University of Pittsburgh Cancer Institute Development, UPMC Cancer Pavilion – Suite 1B, 5150 Centre Ave., Pgh., PA 15232 for Appendiceal Cancer Research.

I remember!! Even though we only saw each other at USSS conferences, Ive always been impressed with her kindness, no conceit about her beauty, friendliness and professionalism. I am so sorry we had to say goodbye. Til we meet again.

Amber's dedication, caring for others and determination to make a difference I will always remember. Through the years since 1984, we worked, laughed, and shared memories when I retired. A delightful, intelligent young lady who achieved so much by her hard work, volunteering on commitees, getting the job done attitude has forever made a difference in so many lives. Well done my friend. Your kind sweet spirit and smile will be missed. Heartfelt sympathy to the Danowski/Blackhurst families.

My sympathy to Amber's family. I met and worked with Amber many times during my USSS career. I never thought of just Amber, it was always "beautiful Amber", which she was. I am so sorry she left us so early. She will be missed.

I am shocked and deeply saddened to hear the news of Amber's passing. I had the pleasure of working with her on many investigations and enjoyed her friendly, sweet personality.
