I had known Ambrose almost all of my life. His family was always very warm and friendly. His sister and I were in the Girl Scouts together. I knew of his wonderful musical talents and his kind and gentle ways and big heart with the smile to match. We had lost touch for many years but I was so glad to see him when he returned to Washington for his 50th class reunion from St. Johns. We had kept in touch since then. I am glad for the conversations we had during his illness. He was always so positive. He was a wonderful person and friend.

Ambrose was my locker partner during our first year at St. Johns College High school. We sat side by side in the trumpet section of the band. He was an extremely talented musician. The “tone” he mastered at age 14 was truly magnificent. Always the gentleman, scholar and good comrade; I have often thought of him as the years flew by. It was a joy to see him at our 50th class reunion. He will always be in my prayers.

Ambrose Jackson was a wonderful friend of the Pinque & Majeski Families. We truly loved him and considered him part of our family. He had a true zest for life and we enjoyed spending time with him; from church-related functions to the time he played at a nursing home with my brother Anthony entertaining patients. He lit up a room with his beautiful face, contagious smile and deep belly laugh. The world is a sadder place without you Ambrose. Rest in Peace My friend!

Ambrose and I were classmates in high school. He was one of the finest and most decent person I have ever met. While his life's passion was music many may not remember he also loved basketball.

Many of us were happy to see him at our 50th class reunion. He will be missed but not forgotten.
