Richard Frederick Hartman

HARTMAN, Richard Frederick - Age 63, of Flint Township, died Tuesday, February 18, 2003 at his residence. Funeral services will be held 1PM Saturday, February 22, 2003 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. Interment will be held at Sunset Hills Cemetery, Flint. Visitation will be from 1-9PM Thursday and Friday at the funeral home. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to the American Heart Association. Mr. Hartman was born December 18, 1939 in Flint, the son of Frederick and Lillian (Tower) Hartman. He married Mary Gorsline on December 29, 1979 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church. Mr. Hartman was a Truck Driver his entire life and was employed by Tri-City Aggregates in Holly. He was a member of the Teamsters and was a devout hockey and race car fan. Mr. Hartman volunteered as a scorekeeper for many youth hockey leagues. He was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather and also, a nice guy. Surviving are: wife, Mary of Flint Township; six children, Julie Frost and husband, Mark of Swartz Creek, Joan Sollanek and husband, Larry of Columbus, OH, Michael Hartman and wife, Kelli of Linden, Ken Hodge and wife, Sheryl of Flint, Steve Hodge and wife, Brandy of Grand Blanc, Chris Plowman and fianc?e, Terry Douglas of Grand Blanc; 11 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; sister, Sandy Barnett and husband, Jack; brother-in-law, Jim Estes; nephew, Jim Estes, Jr., all of Flint; several nieces and nephews.
