Henry W. Kremer, 93, of Cascade Iowa passed away Friday, November 22, 2019 at Mercy One Hospital in Dubuque, Iowa.
Friends and relatives of Henry may call from 4 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, November 26, 2019 at the Reiff Funeral Home in Cascade, Iowa where a rosary will be held at 5:30 p.m.. Friends may also call after 9 a.m. Wednesday, November 27, 2019 at the funeral home.
Services for Henry will be held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, November 27, 2019 at St. Martins Catholic Church in Cascade, Iowa with Rev. Douglas Loecke officiating. Burial will be held in Calvary Cemetery in Cascade, Iowa, with flag presentation by the Cascade American Legion Post 528.
Henry was born December 21, 1925 in Cascade, IA, son of Henry and Callista (Schaffer) Kremer. He received his education in the Cascade rural country schools. On September 8, 1959 he was united in marriage to Jacqueline M. Tritz at St. Donatus Catholic Church in St. Donatus, Iowa. The couple farmed in the rural Cascade area and he also did foresty work. He was an Army veteran having served in World War II.
He was a member of the St. Matthias parish.
He is survived by his wife, Jacqueline Kremer of Cascade, IA; his children, Lisa Otting of Dyersville, IA, Anita (Bob) Kremer of Cascade, IA, Rick Kremer of Cedar Rapids, IA, , Lynda (Terry) Miller and Dan (Kitty) Kremer and Mark (MaDonna) Kremer all of Cascade, IA, Kathleen (Jeff) Frederick of Castalia, IA, and Brent (Roz) Kremer of Watertown, WI; 30 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and two sisters-in-law, Sharon Kremer of Cascade, IA and Mary Tritz of St. Donatus, IA; two brothers-in-law, John A. Tritz and Lyle Tritz both originally from St. Donatus, IA.
He is preceded in death by his parents, a son, Terry Kremer in 1977; a grandson, Justin Kremer in 2011; father and mother-in-law, John and Agnes Tritz; and his sisters, Margaret (Bill) Mausser , Carlon, Rose (Lambert) Schemmel, Isabelle Esther (Charles) Schemmel and Lavonne (Gerald) Pasker; three brothers, James P. Kremer, John “Jack” (Irene) Kremer and Nicholas (Iona) Kremer; and a Brother-in-law, Melvin Nickol.
