Amy Jo Anderson

We were so sorry to hear of Amy's illness and death. We had been praying for her ever since we heard how ill she was. It was kind of Heavenly Father to take her home, but we did hope she would recover and be able to laugh and joke again. I will always remember her trumpet at Girl's Camp, and also her love for you, her family. We can just see her in the Paradise 1st Ward orchestra. I am sure she is first trumpet. We love you and send our condolences from Samoa.

I too was greatly influenced by Amy in the Orem High Band days. When I think of her, a smile comes automatically. I am sorry I could not attend any of the services, but her presense is still very real in my memory.

My mom just sent me the link to this memorial to Amy and it brought back a rush of memories from Orem High Band. I'm very sorry to hear about her illness and passing. I'm glad that she touched my life. She was a terrific example to all who knew her.

Although we did not know Amy well, we both did have the pleasure to experience high school with Amy. We are very grateful for those moments when we heard her willingly share her musical abilities. Thank you for sharing Amy with us.

I knew Amy during High School when we played together in the band. Amy was an amazing trumpet player, but what made her truly special was her ability to make everyone around her better. I spoke to Amy several times after High School and was always impressed with her positive attitude and enthusiasm, even when she wasn't feeling well. All of us who knew Amy are better for it, and she will be greatly missed.

Former Shelly Jessee, I knew Amy througout jr high and high school and had the privelage of hearing a great deal of her musical talent. Amy and I carpooled to jazz band for years, and many of my fond memories of music have Amy interwoven into them in one form or another. I am so sorry to hear of her passing and wish i could have attended her memorial service. Amy was a great gal and will surely be missed in all the lives she touched.

Amy was my very first visiting teacher in my first singles ward. We also played in the band at UVSC together. She was always smiling and always cheerful. While I worked at Maceys I enjoyed having Amy and her wonderful parents come through my checkstand. I am very sorry for your loss. I will keep you in my prayers. You are a wonderful family.

Brother and Sister Anderson, I'm sorry to hear about Amy. My mom called the other day to tell me she had passed away. I lost track of your family after I joined the Navy but I do remember Amy's smile and happy attitude. Your family is in my prayers at this difficult time.

I knew Amy in our College Singles Ward at UVSC. She was a wonderful friend to me. When I got married and moved away I was sad because I knew I wouldn't see her very much. Since I have moved back she has been on my mind and I was so sorry to hear of her passing. She will be greatly missed by me. I do know that she is happy now and doing the things the Lord needs her to do now. My sincere condolences to her family and friends.

I work at LDS Hospital and the 6the floor and I am so very sorry for the loss of Amy. She always had a smile and a kind greeting as we greeted her. She was so very sweet. My sincerest condolences to the family at this time of grief.

I worked with Amy on W6 at LDS Hospital during her stay. She had a sweet spirit without ever a complaint. Her passing was a shock and my condolences are to you and yours at your time of need.

Dear Barbara and Gail, We just learned of Amy's illness and passing and also of Gail's hip replacement. This has been such a difficult time for all of you, and I am sure you have felt the comfort that the Lord has promised at times like this. We have very fond memories of Amy. I admired her very much as an excellent musician. I remember when she got her silver trumpet and how proud she was of it. She brought it over to show us! Amy really did love music and loved sharing her talents. I remember that she also sang will and loved doing that, too. We are sorry that her last weeks were so devastating and uncomfortable for her to go through. Although we haven't seen her for about 10 years, we still remember her smile and happy countenance. I KNEW AMY YEARS AGO. I USE TO GO TO CAMP SHALOAM WITH HER. I JUST LOVED HER SO MUCH. SHE ALWAYS MADE EVERYONE AROUND HER LAUGH. SHE MADE OUR SKITS SO MUCH BETTER THAN THEY EVER COULD BE BY ADDING HER QUICK QIT AND IMPROV SENSE OF HUMOR. SHE HAD A WAY OF MAKING EVERYONE AROUND HER FEEL GOOD. I WAS SO SAD TO SEE THAT SHE HAD PASSSED ON. I PRAY THAT HER FAMILY AND FRIENDS WILL FIND PEACE AND COMFORT AT THIS TIME.

I have known Amy since her days at Orem High, where I played trumpet in the bands with her. She was such an inspiration to me as a musician, and I owe her a great deal for her help and encouragement. Amy was a very caring, thoughtful person, and her influence at that stage of my life has been a great help to this day. I'm a better person for having known her.

I am glad to have known Amy as a caring and giving person. It is so sad that she has left at such a young age. Her family was so imporant to her and I pray you will be comforted at this time.

Amy was the little girl across the street with the heart of gold. She always had a kind word for everyone, and the most postive attitude. God bless you, and keep you in his loving care.

I knew Amy in a college singles ward at UVSC. She always had such a calm and sweet spirit. We will all miss her so much but I have a feeling she is quickly catching on to what she needs to do on the other side. What an amazing missionary she must be on the other side of the veil.

Dear Hannah, I am so sorry that Amy has left. But glad she is not in pain any more. I remember singing with her in choir. We once sang Joy, Joy Joy, she had such a beautiful voice. I know you have wanted to sing with us in the choir and I hope you will. Love Colleen
