Amy was born January 27, 1919 in Wilton, ND to Harry and Carrie (Foote) Redington, the youngest of seven children. She married Rev. Neil Higbee in May 1949. Amy embraced the role of pastor's wife, raised a family, earned a teaching degree, taught in the Meridian school district for 13 years and cared for foster children. Amy was preceded in death by her husband, parents and six siblings. Amy is survived by son, Bob (Colleen); daughters, Miriam Ambrose (Don), Naomi Rumpff (Rick), and Corrine Christie (Matt), and by chosen daughter, Bonnie Oliver (Maynard); nephew, Steve Higbee (Irene); and her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A memorial service for Amy will be held at the Mount Vernon Presbyterian Church on Saturday, January 28, 2017 at 1 p.m. The family suggests memorial donations to Hospice of the Northwest. The family would like to thank Life Care Center, Country Meadows and Hospice for excellent and compassionate care. Arrangements are under the care of Lemley Chapel.
