Scott and Amanda- We have never met you, but we would like to let you know how sorry we are about the loss of your mother. We met her through my brother, Allan Walsh. She was an extremely thoughtful and generous person to us and our three kids. Our thoughts are with you.

Dearest Amanda and Scott, you will remember me as Donna Pooley, Jaime's mother. My deepest sympathies to you, your father, family and friends. There is nothing I can say or anyone can say to console you. But, I can reach out in love to you, and I myself will remember the times your mom had Jaime at your home and treated her with love and kindness. I know she will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

I just wanted to tell you my heart goes out to the Patterson family. Even though I wasn't really aquainted with Amy Patterson, I knew Scott and just by that, I can tell this woman had to be a wonderful person.

Dear Patterson Family:
I was truly sorry to hear about your Mom. I only knew her for a brief time, while I worked in the Department of Orthopaedics, the Growth and Development Lab and spoke with Amy almost everyday. It was when she was undergoing her radiation treatments. Since I am a cancer survivor, I could talk to her about what she was going through. I hope that I was able to give her some comfort and support while she was undergoing treatments. With me, she was always upbeat about things. You have my deepest sympathy, I know that she was proud of her children and I hope that will bring you comfort in the days ahead.
Sincerely,
Kathy Wypychowski

Words cannot express how I feel about my friend. I will always cherish our friendship. Our talks that we had when we were feeling low, as well as the laughs when we thought about the things we did early on. My Tammi was at the Patterson home, more than her own. You did such an excellent job with the kids, I know you were proud. Now the pain is gone, and although I will miss you, you will be at peace. I will miss you, Duq Mom, this is Pharmacylady signing off and saying "you were the BEST"

Amy....what can I say about my dear friend. Amy handled her illness the same way she tackled her life....with grace, dignity and humor. Her strength gave me strength in her ability to fight this horrid illness. Selfishly, I will miss her tremendously, but I'm consoled by the fact that I know she is now in place where her pain and suffering is over. I love you.

I'm truly at a loss for words. I have not seen the Patterson family in nearly 5 years and Amy's death comes as such a shock. My heart and prayers are with Amanda, Scott and the rest of the family. I have very fond memories of Amy while growing up. She was a wonderful, humorous, and very charismatic woman. May god give you the strength to make it through this trying time.

I worked with Amy At UPMC Orthopedics. I am in the Radiology Dept. I told her many times how much I admired her strength thru what she was going thru, how she continued to persevere. I send my deepest condolances to her family. She will be truly missed.

I could write a novel about this beautiful, amazing, unbelievable strong woman. Amy was like a second mom to me. I could easily recall thousands of amazing memories growing up.... Taco's, morning rides to AGH to volunteer, the Cher concert, and endless days in the Patterson home. Mandy and Scott, you know I love you both more than life it self. You are family to me. I know with all of my heart that Amy is looking down from Heaven so unbelievable proud of both you. I heard someone say once, that it isn't the quanity of life, it is the quality. Your mom touched so many lives, mine included and I know shes in Heaven smiling down right now. Nick Falcone and I spent about an hour on the phone last night, and spent the entire time talking about how amazing your mom was and remembering so many unforgettable times. If there is anything at all I can do, I will. I love you both so so so so much.
